A proper inlet louver and ventilating system must “Limit the temperature for the pump room at 49C (120F) at the air cleaner inlet with the engine running at rated load” (11.3.2.1.1) , “Supply adequate air for engine combustion (11.3.2.1.2), and “remove hazardous vapors” (11.3.2.1.3).

FM 1333 3.6.1 “Liquid cooling systems shall be equipped with a raw water supply loop for control of raw water flow to all cooling devices.” FM 1333 4.36.1 “Raw water supply loops shall be capable of providing the required flow to the engine cooling devices with straining devices restricted by 50 percent, a minimum inlet pressure, and the pressure regulators set for the maximum inlet pressure of the cooling devices.”
