In keeping with our commitment of continuous improvement, Clarke is introducing a new zinc-plated exhaust guard that doesn't require painting. This change has been implemented as a result of a history of issues with painted guards that see elevated temperatures due to their proximity to the exhaust manifold and/or the turbocharger. The discoloration caused by the elevated temperatures has caused numerous customer complaints. To the right is a picture of the type of discoloration often seen on the painted guards as well as an example of the new zinc-plated exhaust guard.
Some customers have been surprised when seeing our new zinc-plated guards and have assumed they were installed by mistake We apologize for the unnecessary concern and confusion that seeing this change in appearance (but improvement in performance) has caused you.
If you have any questions, please contact the Clarke sales team.
